April 12, 2012: We are thrilled and honored to be involved in our first "trunk show." What is a trunk show? A trunk show is a special sale of things like clothes, children's toys, or even kitchen gadgets. On Monday, May 21, board member Meredith Arns will be hosting a trunk show of women's clothes from "W by Worth." And 10% of all sales will go to the Half Fund. How cool is that? April 10, 2012: We are thrilled to announce that we will be meeting with the founder of Soles4Souls for a strategy meeting later this month. Wayne Elsey turned a simple idea into the fastest growing mission-driven organization on the planet. In little more than five years, Wayne and the crew at Soles4Souls have helped to distribute shoes to over 17 million people around the world. Now Wayne is starting a new venture, where he will share his vast expertise and knowledge of business with those of us ready to take the next step...the leap from a dream into a reality. About Us
Of course there are many wonderful organizations that are working toward finding a cure. We value and support all of this amazing work and believe that someday soon a cure will be found.
Until that day comes the goal of the Half Fund is to give a face and a voice to those battling the beast, and the people who along side them. We look to find and fund commercially viable mass media appeal projects such as films, documentaries, books & music. fight Projects that illustrate and educate the general public to the realities of a cancer diagnosis some positive and others not so much.
It is our goal to lift the veil on cancer, become a beacon of light, so no one has to go through the fight blind.
